Former Xbox CMO Jerret West has joined Roblox as the company’s new chief marketing officer and head of market expansion.
In his new role, West is tasked with leading Roblox’s marketing and creative teams, as well as the company’s international and growth marketing team. He will report to Roblox founder/CEO David Baszucki.
“It was hard to leave my old job but easy to accept my new one. Roblox is just scratching the surface of its opportunity on its own platform and in connecting to people around the world. It was also clear that there is a wonderful culture of long view strategic investment and a pragmatic approach to working together internally. I think that fits my personal philosophy well and how I like to build teams,” wrote West in a LinkedIn post.
Prior to joining Roblox, Jerret was CMO of Xbox and corporate VP of Microsoft Gaming. Prior to that, he held various senior leadership roles in marketing across different regions at Netflix, growing the platform in more than 40 countries including Europe and Asia Pacific.
