Chief brand officer Kathleen Hall is leaving her post at Microsoft.
“After 16 years at Microsoft, I have decided to return to New York and take some time off before my next adventure. It’s been a great ride, and I am very thankful for my time, my team, and all that we accomplished together,” said Hall in a LinkedIn post.
Hall joined the Seattle-based tech giant in 2008, working her way up through the brand’s global advertising division to the chief brand officer role.
Microsoft has had several rounds of layoffs this year hitting its Activision Blizzard and Xbox divisions in January and more recently laying off 1500 employees in Azure. Reports also suggest that the tech giant is laying off staff from other departments.
Hall, who was recently featured as a Brand Innovators CMO of the Week, did not say where she will go next.
