Kelsea has built a career and reputation on successfully leading through “unprecedented” times and challenges. 

In 2020, she led Root Insurance’s organic social media strategy through the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in response to the Black Lives Matter movement. As part of her efforts, she lead the organic social team on the ADDY-winning strategy for Root’s partnership with NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace. 

Kelsea was also challenged at Abercrombie and Fitch where she guided corporate communication through the release of the not-so-positive Netflix Documentary about the company, in addition to leading the redevelopment of the corporate website. 

Kelsea was the head of organic social at healthcare-tech startup Olive AI until the reduction in force happened in July 2022. But Kelsea took this challenge, and decided to not let it be wasted. She took to social, documenting the authentic experience she went through and creating a community for those, like her, who were going through layoffs in the tech industry – not just at Olive. During that time, Kelsea produced stunning results, including crafting a LinkedIn post that garnered 2M+ organic impressions and documenting her job-hunting experience across social channels, reaching 400k+. She continues to share job search, interview and resume tips on social channels to this day. 

In addition to these unprecedented successes, Kelsea also has a passion for giving back and supporting others in the community. She volunteers at Sleep in Heavenly Peace in Hilliard, building and delivering beds to children in need in Central Ohio. She also mentors young professionals all over the country and is a Grant Reader with the Women’s Fund of Central Ohio.
