Verizon offers discounts, perks with streamers

  • Verizon has debuted a new offer for mobile and home internet customers, that gives savings to myPlan mobility and myHome Internet joint customers. 
  • Customers with Verizon Home Internet will be eligible for a $15/mo discount when combined with any postpaid mobile phone plan. Verizon mobile customers who add a premium home internet plan are eligible for perk credits including credits for Netflix and Max subscriptions.
  • To promote the new effort, Verizon is partnering with Max’s White Lotus and bringing the show’s scenery to around 300 retail stores across the country March 1- April. The activation includes an immersive AR experience with a mini pop-up inspired by the show’s Thai resort. 

The new offering comes from an insight from the recent Verizon Consumer Connections Report that found that the average household has 18 connected devices in their home and four streaming service subscriptions. With this in mind, the brand identified that connectivity and value is key to their customers and is offering these bundled services to bring value.

“Verizon is excited to bring another awesome experience to our local stores alongside new savings and benefits – like internet as low as $35/mo, your favorite entertainment subscriptions (like Netflix and Max) via perk on us and VIP customer care benefits –  for our customers who combine mobile and home internet with us,” said Angie Klein, SVP, of growth marketing & chief content officer at Verizon. “Season 3 of The White Lotus is one of the most anticipated shows this year and content-driven activations of this kind are both entertaining for customers and a great opportunity for our retail teams to engage and connect with consumers.”

The effort illustrates how the brand is looking to show up in cultural moments with partners. “Part of our ongoing strategy is to join forces with our partners on big programming moments, which helps to create a sense of awareness for customers to take advantage of our new offers and also tune into our partners’ content,” Klein added. “The White Lotus has wide-ranging appeal so this is a win for both Verizon and our partners at Max – and most importantly for our customers who get choice, value and savings – and a fun in-store experience.”
