- Uber Eats has dropped its first-ever global delivery campaign. The effort stars Gordon Ramsay, who doesn’t want to cook during the tournament.
- In the “Who Could Cook At A Time Like This?” spot, Ramsay goes door to door to stop people from cooking during the game. He tells them to order Uber Eats instead.
- Created in conjunction with Mother and director Jeff Low , the effort will run in 17 markets globally ahead of the first game. The media includes TV and out-of-home.
Uber Eats has been showing up at the Super Bowl for the last six years promoting ordering food delivery watching the game. The brand is keeping up with this sports marketing play at the World Cup.
“We wanted to find the most over-the-top and entertaining way to play up a very real truth: when the game is on, people don’t want to cook,” said Georgie Jeffreys, global head of marketing at Uber.
“As our first-ever global delivery campaign, it was important to lead with an idea that was universal, simple, and culturally relevant for fans everywhere – while showing how Uber Eats helps fans get the food they want delivered straight to their door, without missing a moment of the action,” he continued.
