- Mattel and BMW are bringing the racetrack inside the car with a new game, Hot Wheels: Xtreme Overdrive, that will be playable within certain new BMW models.
- In the game, created in partnership with AirConsole, players can race Hot Wheels cars against each other through the car’s in-vehicle entertainment console. The game will feature one level in which players can race a car inspired by a BMW iX3 against other Hot Wheels models.
- The game will be exclusive to BMW drivers until June 2026. Mattel, BMW and AirConsole had previously partnered on UNO Car Party, which was also playable via the car’s entertainment system.
“Cars are no longer just about driving them, they’re becoming entertainment hubs. BMW’s continuous investment into exclusive content with AirConsole is a testament of in-car entertainment’s growing importance” said Anthony Cliquot, CEO of AirConsole developer N-Dream. “With BMW and Mattel, we’re proving that the passenger experience can be as iconic as the drive itself.”
