Vanessa Wallace is Chief Marketing Officer of GLD, the global lifestyle jewelry brand known for its deep connection to music, sport, and street culture. In her role, Wallace leads global brand strategy, marketing, creative, communications, partnerships, and community engagement as the company expands its cultural footprint and international growth. She is responsible for shaping GLD’s storytelling, elevating brand collaborations, and strengthening its position at the intersection of fashion, entertainment, and athletics. 

Wallace joined GLD following her tenure as Chief Marketing Officer at Savage X Fenty, the intimates, loungewear, and sportswear brand founded by Rihanna, where she oversaw brand and product marketing, media, creative, membership, and global communications. During her time, she helped scale the brand’s cultural relevance and consumer engagement through innovative storytelling and talent-driven campaigns. 

Prior to Savage X Fenty, Wallace spent 19 years at Nike, Inc., holding a range of senior marketing and digital leadership roles across the company’s global brand and direct-to-consumer businesses. In her final six years, she led North America Marketing for Jordan Brand, where she played a pivotal role in driving cultural influence and growth. She developed high-impact strategies around major sports and cultural moments, including NBA All-Star Weekend, launched the Jordan Brand Women’s Collective to advance women’s participation and leadership in sport, and helped establish the Jordan Brand Black Community Commitment, a 10-year, $100 million initiative focused on combating systemic racism. 

Earlier in her career, Wallace worked at Grassroots Promotions, LLC, partnering with major brands and organizations including Procter & Gamble, BET, MTV, the WNBA, Southwest Airlines, Universal Music Group, ESSENCE, and LATINA, as well as collaborating on campaigns with Gatorade and DaimlerChrysler. 

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Wallace earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications. A former Lady Longhorns basketball player, she was named Southwest Conference Newcomer of the Year in 1996 and led the team in assists in consecutive seasons. She was inducted into the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 and the University of Texas Alumni Hall of Fame in 2022. Wallace also serves on the Advisory Board for Project Health Minds.

Outside of work, Wallace enjoys fitness, travel, and spending time with her family and her dog, Kobe.
