Sam Bakshandehpour

Sam Bakhshandehpour is President of Merchants at Bilt, where he leads the company’s
merchant ecosystem across dining, travel, hotels, fitness, and neighborhood commerce.
His work focuses on helping build the connective layer between where people live, the
places they go, and the businesses they engage with every day – thereby enabling
merchants and hospitality operators to create more seamless and personalized
experiences across the neighborhood.
Previously, Bakhshandehpour served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of
José Andrés Group, overseeing strategy and operations across a global portfolio of
more than 50 restaurants and hospitality concepts. Prior to JAG, he was President,
CEO, and Board Member of sbe Entertainment Group, where he helped scale one of
the world’s leading lifestyle hospitality companies – spanning more than 80 hotels,
restaurants, and nightlife venues worldwide. Bakhshandehpour began his career at J.P.
Morgan in Real Estate & Lodging Investment Banking.
Bakhshandehpour currently serves as an independent director of Shift4 Payments
(NYSE: FOUR), where he chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Audit
Committee. He was named by The Observer as one of the Top 50 Most Influential
Figures in Dining and Nightlife, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from Georgetown University.
