Meg Patten is the Head of Event Marketing for the FIFA World Cup 2026, where she leads marketing strategy and milestone execution for the largest sporting event in history. She is responsible for building global excitement and local connection, bringing the tournament to life through culturally relevant, high-impact campaigns that engage fans and partners at scale.

Previously, Meg served as Senior Director of Marketing for the Washington Spirit, overseeing social, digital, and brand marketing. She led integrated campaigns that drove fan growth and brand visibility, including during the club’s 2024 NWSL Championship run. Her work includes the launch of the “That’s The Spirit” campaign during the 2023 Women’s World Cup and the debut of multiple top-selling kits in collaboration with Nike.

Over the course of her career, Meg has delivered large-scale experiential campaigns for global brands including Twitter, the NFL, NBA, Nike, and Google. She specializes in leveraging the intersection of sports, culture, and technology to drive audience growth, revenue, and brand impact.

A former collegiate soccer player at NYU, Meg brings a team-first leadership style and is passionate about advancing women in sports.
