Mario Mijares is a seasoned retail and marketing executive, currently serving as Vice President of Marketing, Loyalty, and Monetization Platforms at 7-Eleven. In this role, he leads teams responsible for customer research and analytics, loyalty programs, in-store and shopper marketing, and retail media and monetization platforms.
With more than two decades of global retail experience, Mario has worked across the U.S., UK, France, Canada, Mexico, and Australia — collaborating with top retail and consumer brands. Prior to joining 7-Eleven in 2020, he held senior leadership roles including SVP of Marketing, Digital Strategy & Loyalty at Southeastern Grocers / Winn-Dixie, and held marketing and brand-strategy positions with major retailers such as Coles Group (Australia) and others — formally beginning his career in retail consulting at A.T. Kearney.
Mario holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and earned an undergraduate degree in engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He and his family reside in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
