Leah Davis joined the SailGP ranks in January 2023 as the league’s Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for the overall global marketing strategy, brand and consumer marketing, media effectiveness, event marketing, fan engagement and event experience working closely with SailGP’s local teams in each market.
Prior to SailGP, Davis led the brand transformation and marketing strategy for Team GB through the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic cycles which resulted in a 98% brand awareness in the UK. In 2019 and 2020, Davis led the global marketing and communications for the Laureus World Sports Awards and Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Following which she established a successful consulting business in 2020 with a number of UK and global sporting clients.
Davis holds a degree in Business, a Masters in Marketing Strategy and recently completed a Sustainable Business Strategy course at Harvard Business School, driven from a key interest in how sustainability can deliver both purpose and profit in today’s world.
She has also been recognised for her contribution to the marketing industry with a number of nominations, most notably, Marketing Leader of the Year (Marketing Society), Marketer of the Year (The Drum) & Campaign Power 100.
