Kate Jalkut is a results-driven change catalyst who doesn’t shy away from bold decisions. She’s on a mission to modernize GEICO Marketing by challenging conventions and developing the next generation of marketing changemakers. From reimagining the brand’s positioning to redefining the speed and ease of customer engagement to infusing new capabilities into the department, Kate has designed the roadmap for the company’s marketing transformation. 

Upon joining GEICO in late 2022, Kate introduced the marketer’s shift from volume to value to the market. She positioned the brand as a first mover in the streaming space, working with partners to produce equity-driven storytelling delivered with precision targeting. GEICO’s Thursday Night Football program, featuring NFL legend Andrew Whitworth, was an industry first. The work spotlighted the brand’s native Quote on Amazon offering, which took viewers from streaming TV ads to policy conversion in under three minutes. The GEICO Marketing team kept the brand in the spotlight on the wave of sports fandom, in new initiatives featuring Desmond Howard, Ken Griffey Jr. and Carli Lloyd.  

In her second year with the company, Kate and her team enlisted the help of a diverse group of creators to debut the brand’s new tagline Get More with GEICO, while announcing the brand as a corporate partner of the NCAA.

Prior to joining GEICO, Kate held leadership roles at The Estée Lauder Companies and Coca-Cola. When asked about her shift from consumer-packaged goods to insurance, Kate said that it was “the unique power of a brand when marketing an intangible service” that drew her to the opportunity, as well as “the opportunity to create a modern confluence between GEICO’s marketing heritage and an innovation driven customer engagement experience.”

Kate graduated from Boston College.  She splits her time between her Boston home and airport lounges.
