Juanita Slappy is an award-winning marketing and communications professional. She heads Multicultural Marketing for the iconic Cadillac brand, developing impactful content, securing strategic partnerships, and driving measurable businessresults amongst rapidly growing core multicultural audiences. In her five years at General Motors, she has managed key reveal and launch events for GM brand, Cadillac, Buick, GMC, and Chevrolet.
Juanita manages and directs the multicultural creative for the iconic brand inviting consumers along for an audacious journey via www.cadillac.com/audacity celebrating cultural moments and custom integrations with partners, influencers, and Cadillac employees.
Juanita has more than a decade of marketing and strategic communications leadership experience. Prior to GM, she served in various capacities at two leading multicultural agencies – Uniworld Group (AA AOR for Ford Motor Company) and GlobalHue (multicultural AOR for FCA).
She has driven other non-automotive campaigns in various sectors for leading brands such as Verizon, Walmart, the U.S. Navy, Walmart and the 2010 Census. MediaWeek named the Census campaign as the 2010 Multicultural Campaign of the Year.
Juanita holds a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism with a minor in public relations from Hampton University. In 2021, she received the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma Business College.
