Helen Andrews is the Chief Executive Officer of Johannes Leonardo, an independent creative agency renowned for creating brand ideas worthy of participation. Helen brings decades of leadership experience in the creative industry having led successful partnerships with major brands such as Nike, Kraft Heinz, Coca Cola and TJX. 

She has a genuine enthusiasm for great creative work and the commercial impact it delivers. Beginning her career at M&C Saatchi in their prestigious grad training program, Helen went on to become M&C’s youngest ever account director, running the agency’s flagship account British Airways before leaving in 2008 to join Wieden+ Kennedy London. Remaining there for 14 years. 

Helen ultimately went on to lead the office, achieving award-winning work, including Nike’s “Nothing Beats a Londoner’, a global rebrand for Formula 1 and heading up the renowned Lurpak butter business for over a decade, a campaign regularly credited with changing the face of food advertising in the UK and beyond. 

During her time as global stakeholder Wieden + Kennedy received Ad Age Agency of the Year, Adweek’s #1 Network and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Company in advertising and marketing for three consecutive years. After a brief stint as CEO of adam&eveDDB, then the UK’s largest advertising agency, Helen relocated to NYC to lead Johannes Leonardo in May 2024. 

Helen believes that great work is born of a great culture – both internally and with the client teams she’s fortunate to partner with – and is committed to creating environments that result in outstanding creativity that has the power to transform business. She lives in Dumbo with her husband Mikey and fellow pizza enthusiast, Pearl the Norfolk Terrier.
