Cigdem Topalli is Vice President of Global Marketing and ESG at Carter’s, the largest branded children’s clothing company in the U.S. She leads marketing for Carter’s apparel brands in mass retail including Just One You, Child of Mine, and Simple Joys, in addition to leading marketing for their children’s product & baby gear brand, Skip Hop, across wholesale, DTC, and international channels. Cigdem also leads Carter’s enterprise communications strategy for key ESG initiatives to improve environmental impact including sustainability. 

Previously, Cigdem held the position of Senior Director of Marketing, where she managed media relationships with key retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon. She played a key role in expanding Carter’s exclusive brands, leading their rebranding strategy in 2022, and establishing a new marketing leadership team at Carter’s including brand marketing and creative development. 

Before her tenure at Carter’s, Cigdem led marketing and brand strategy in the hospitality industry for nearly 6 years at IHG Hotels & Resorts. She served as the Director of Global Brand and Commercial Strategy for Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn, IHG’s largest two brands with over 4000 hotels worldwide. Based in London, Cigdem also led the international marketing strategy to accelerate growth in Europe.

Prior to IHG, Cigdem began her marketing career in the pharmaceutical / consumer healthcare sector in various brand/portfolio management roles. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Strategy from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Stetson University. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey but now residing in Atlanta, GA, Cigdem is a proud mother of two boys – ages 10 and 13 – and proud partner to her husband of eighteen years.
