Caitlin Adams Maier leads Global Media & Public Affairs at FedEx, where she oversees how one of the world’s most recognized brands shows up across media, policy, and public discourse. Her work focuses on aligning narrative with business strategy, with a particular emphasis on how communications can enable and accelerate large-scale corporate transformation.
She has guided communications through defining moments for the company, including FedEx’s first CEO transition in 50 years and its ongoing business and operational transformation. Her role has centered on translating complex change into clear, credible narratives that resonate with media, employees, customers, and policymakers.
Under her leadership, the team has evolved its approach to better support transformation in real time. This includes integrating data, digital platforms, and emerging technologies, including AI, to inform strategy, anticipate risk, and identify opportunities to shape perception as the business evolves.
Prior to her current role, Caitlin served as Chief of Staff to the President and CEO at FedEx and held senior communications roles supporting the COO and the company’s global social media strategy. She began her career as a reporter in Dallas, Texas.
Her work has been recognized by the Shorty Awards and PR News, with coverage in outlets including Forbes, Inc., and Entrepreneur. In addition, Caitlin is a graduate, member and volunteer with New Memphis; an organization focused on forging a more prosperous and vital Memphis by developing, activating, and retaining talent.
Caitlin holds a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and graduated summa cum laude from University of Mississippi.
