Amanda Calabrese

Co-Founder and CMO, Sequel

Amanda Calabrese is building at the intersection of women’s health, sports, and wellness. As CMO and cofounder of Sequel, she has played a pivotal role in transforming a stagnant category by launching the first re-engineered design of the tampon in nearly 100 years. Her and her cofounder Greta designed the Patented spiral tampon while Stanford engineering students and high-level athletes for even absorption, leakage prevention, and comfort. Created based on her experience with uncomfortable and leaking period products as a Team USA athlete and 9x US National Champion in Surf Lifesaving, Amanda is building the product she and Greta wished they had on game day. Under Amanda’s leadership, Sequel has strategically signed groundbreaking partnerships with major sports entities, from NCAA powerhouse Stanford Athletics (the first college athletic tampon collaboration in NCAA history) to professional leagues like Athletes Unlimited, Unrivaled Basketball, DC United, the WNBA’s Indiana Fever – where Sequel became the franchise’s Official Tampon Partner, and Yankee Stadium – the first of its kind in Major League Baseball, providing products to both athletes and fans. The brand has also aligned with elite athletes such as WNBA star Aliyah Boston and 2026 Olympic speed skater Sarah Warren to expand its reach through authentic ambassador collaborations and engaging sports-centric activations. Amanda’s work not only elevates Sequel’s brand in the sports ecosystem but champions comfort, performance, and empowerment for women and athletes everywhere.
