Soyoung Kang has been promoted from chief marketing and innovation officer to president of the personal care brand eos Products.
Kang joined the brand in 2018 and under her watch, the brand has become one of the fastest-growing mass body care brands in the U.S. In her new position, she will continue to lead marketing, innovation and ecommerce, while also taking on the company’s commercial strategy, business performance and P&L growth and profitability.
“Soyoung has been instrumental in shaping eos into the cultural powerhouse and commercial success it is today,” said Jonathan Teller, Founder & CEO of eos Products, in a statement. “She spearheaded our expansion into the body care category, now the core of our business. Her strategic vision, disruptive creativity, and commercial acumen make her the ideal leader for our next phase of growth.”
The appointment comes as the brand is on the upswing. In the last 14 quarters, the brand has seen double-digit retail sales growth and an increase in consumer recognition. The company, which is known for disruptive marketing campaigns that resonate with Gen Z and Millennial audiences, such as a summer activation in NYC to promote its new pistachio line. This approach is helping drive younger audiences into retail stores, Kang told Brand Innovators.
Prior to joining eos, Kang held senior leadership roles at Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret and The Boston Consulting Group.
