Monica Austin has been appointed the new chief marketing officer at gaming firm Blizzard Entertainment.
Austin joins Blizzard Entertainment from Linktree, where she served as CMO. Prior to that, she held senior marketing positions at Calm, Netflix, Facebook and ITV.
In her new role, she is heading up the marketing for all titles at Blizzard, including Warcraft, Diablo and Overwatch.
“About a month ago, I joined Blizzard Entertainment and the broader Xbox Game Studios Publishing team,” Austin wrote on LinkedIn. “Gaming has always been a passion of mine, and getting the opportunity to work across groundbreaking franchises like World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch is an absolute privilege. I am beyond excited to be part of the future of these games, which have touched hundreds of millions of players across the world, and to be part of the world-class Blizzard leadership team.”
