- Knorr is kicking off the second year of its Taste Combos campaign that encourages consumers to embrace trendy fast food flavors into home cooking by using its seasoning packs.
- The brand teamed up with Ludacris to remaster Black Sheep’s hit song, “The Choice is Yours,” in a new music video. The music video follows Ludacris in the kitchen as he cooks Knorr’s Lemon Pepper Chicken Cutlets recipe.
- In the “Fast Food Remix feat. Ludacris and Knorr” music video, Ludacris encourages his friends to skip fast food delivery in exchange for a real meal, with the flavors of Knorr.
Last year, Knorr debuted their Taste Combos campaign with Cardi B. to tell the story that cooking at home with Knorr can be just as convenient and affordable as fast food.
This year the brand is continuing the effort with Ludacris, who himself has said he tries to cook more.
“As someone who’s still mastering how to prepare delicious, nutritious and convenient meals at home, I’ve learned it’s helpful to have a few staple ingredients always on hand. I love to keep Knorr Chicken Bouillon stocked at home, so I can add it to my family’s meals when it’s my turn to cook,” said Ludacris. “Knorr and I cooked up delicious new beats and a remixed recipe for Lemon Pepper Chicken Cutlets to inspire people to get creative in the kitchen – we can’t wait for everyone to try out my delicious recipe this summer.”
Ludacris spoke at Brand Innovators’ Cannes event and shared that he only works with brands that he likes. “I literally align myself with brands nowadays that are a part of my everyday lifestyle,” said Ludacris on the Brand Innovators Influential Beach Stage at Cannes. “Ask my family. My wife is here today. I eat peanut butter every single day.”
With fast food restaurants raising their prices due to inflation, many consumers are choosing to cook for themselves. Knorr is trying to make cooking easier by bringing more popular fast food-style flavors to their seasoning packages.“As a flavor powerhouse brand, it is our job to make home cooking recipes delicious, nutritious and accessible for people so that they can experience and enjoy cooking just as much as they love fast food meals,” said Gina Kiroff, chief marketing officer at Knorr North America, in a statement. “Partnering with Ludacris to create not only a delicious and nutritious recipe, but also launch an exclusive music track to inspire people to think about remixing fast food classics into craveable, flavorful home-cooked meals, was the perfect way to show people how easy and impactful this behavior change can be.”
