- Altoids is partnering with New York City hot spot Bad Roman on an exclusive, limited-time tin and breath mint-inspired menu.
- The promo, which is running through the week of September 24, is inspired by Gen Z’s love of collecting restaurant matchbooks. Like those matchbooks, the specially designed tins will include the Altoids logo as well as Bad Roman’s serpentine design.
- The restaurant has also developed three Altoids-inspired menu offerings. One is a pasta entree followed by an Altoids mint to freshen breath. The other two are non-alcoholic drinks that feature the mints as an ingredient.
The limited-edition tins will be available to the restaurant’s customers through October 1. They will also be available through NYC-based retailer Big Night, which will create “After Any Dinner” boxes available in-store and online. The boxes will include items inspired by the Bad Roman dishes and will come with an Altoids x Bad Roman tin.
“Altoids is known for its curiously strong mints and iconic tin, which is often reused by consumers even after they’ve enjoyed the last mint,” said Maria Urista, vice president, gum & mints at Mars Wrigley North America, in a release. “Through our partnership with Bad Roman, we’re showcasing the efficacy of our powerful mints against notoriously delicious, yet strong, flavors and creating a unique memento for diners that will live well beyond a night out.”
