- JELL-O is bringing color and whimsy back to the Thanksgiving table – revamping the sides people are most likely to say “no thanks” to.
- The Kraft Heinz brand has launched limited-edition “No Thanks” Thanksgiving Molds that reimagine Brussels sprouts, canned cranberry sauce and pecan pie as bright, jiggly creations.
- Available November 11, exclusively on Walmart.com for $4.99, the molds transform the most controversial dishes of the holiday into something everyone wants on their plate.
Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce and pecan pie are often the most skipped sides on Thanksgiving tables, with nearly a third of Americans avoiding Brussels sprouts, more than a quarter skipping cranberry sauce and one in five passing on pecan pie.
Still, more than 60% of people said they are more willing to try dishes that look visually exciting and festive, according to a Talker Research survey conducted on behalf of JELL-O. The brand is leaning into the insights, turning the table’s most debated side dishes into colorful, approachable creations.
“Thanksgiving is all about togetherness, but we know not every side dish unites the table,” said Lauren Gumbiner, associate marketing director at Kraft Heinz, in a statement. “With our ‘No Thanks’ Thanksgiving molds, we’re turning the most debated dishes into something everyone can actually say yes to – in an unmistakably JELL-O way. Thanksgiving sides may lean beige and predictable, but JELL-O adds back color in a way that feels fresh and relevant for today’s table.”
JELL-O has been part of America’s holiday ritual for more than a century, from vintage gelatin salads to the fruit-filled molds that defined mid-century tablescapes. With this launch, the brand is tapping into nostalgia and visual delight to revive the classics in a way that feels modern and distinctly JELL-O.
