Intuit CMO Lara Hood Balazs to step down this year

Intuit’s chief marketing officer Lara Hood Balazs, has revealed that she plans to step down from her position later this year.

“It has been an honor to bring Intuit’s mission to power prosperity around the world to life over the last five and a half years,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post. “I have been fortunate to serve with an incredible Intuit leadership team and lead an absolutely outstanding, talented group of marketers, communicators and team members in our strategic partner, corporate responsibility and ProTax teams.”

In the post, Balazs highlighted some of the successes she has had since she joined the brand including launching “a revitalized Intuit brand identity to support our AI-driven financial technology platform and driven new, key initiatives such as Intuit Dome and Intuit for Education, helping us realize the highest brand awareness and reputation we’ve seen since the company was formed over 40 years ago.”

Balazs did not mention where she would be going from Inuit, only saying that she plans to pursue her “next chapter in life.” She also did not mention who would be her successor, but noted she has the support of “CEO Sasan Goodarzi and the whole Intuit family.”
