T-Mobile is leaning in on reality television to pitch its new Magenta Status.
As one of two presenting sponsors at NBCUniversal’s BravoCon this year (the other is State Farm), the brand has teamed up with “Summer House” cast member Lindsay Hubbard to promote its new offering.
In a new spot, Hubbard explains why this subscription-based benefits offering is “better than a boyfriend” and shows off its exclusive access offers. The ad drops as the brand headlines this weekend’s Las Vegas event, in which 30,000 fans are coming to see their favorite Bravolebrities.
“BravoCon brings together some of the most passionate fans in pop culture, and that energy aligns perfectly with how T-Mobile shows up – connecting people to the things they love most,” said Kari Marshall, vice president of media at T-Mobile.
As part of the weekend’s festivities, T-Mobile is turning its Signature Store on the Strip into a pop-up destination – Club Magenta at Caesars Forum. The brand will host parties at the lounge all weekend long featuring special Bravo cast member guests, as well as cocktails, DJs and the chance to win merch and tickets to special events.
“We’re focused on meeting Bravo fans where they are and showing everyone what it’s like to have Magenta Status – the perks, the value, and the best network experience our customers get just for being with us.,” added Marshall.
“Whether they’re stopping by our Signature Store to catch Kyle Cooke’s DJ set, hanging out at Club Magenta, or tuning into our custom content with Lindsay Hubbard from home, we’re bringing fans even closer to the Bravo stars they love – with extra perks for our members along the way,” she added.
State Farm, Hilton, Lexus, Wayfair and Clorox are among the other 19 brands that will be hosting activations at BravoCon. Debuting in 2019, BravoCon is the ultimate fan experience for viewers of shows like The Real Housewives and Top Chef.
The event offers brands an opportunity to get in front of these consumers with specialized experiences that tap into the roster of talent involved in these shows. For instance, consumers can check out the custom Lexus Glam LX, get touch-ups and meet Real Housewives Meredith Marks, Tamra Judge and Heather Dubrow, then film their own red-carpet shots.
