- Capri Sun, the drink brand known for its iconic foil pouch containers, is branching out into new product packaging, offering a new resealable, recyclable bottle in convenience stores, grocery stores and vending machines beginning this month.
- The 12-ounce bottles will feature three flavors, Fruit Punch, Pacific Cooler and Strawberry Kiwi, and are in response to the overwhelming number of calls asking for a larger product size and a parent preference for resealable containers.
- The new packaging comes just months after the brand launched a line of multi-portion jugs in warehouse clubs and a promo offering a palette of cases for order at Walmart.
“With busy schedules and hectic work-life balance, families are seeking value and convenience now more than ever and turning to brands who can deliver on both,” said Kristina Hannant, director of marketing at Capri Sun. “Generations of fans have grown up drinking Capri Sun pouches, and while the beloved format is a mainstay in American households (and our portfolio), on-the-go families couldn’t find our products at C-stores when stopping for a quick refuel — until now.”
The new bottles are designed to be sold individually, specifically for on-the-go purchase and consumption, Hannant said. There are no plans to sell them in multipacks, as the pouches are currently sold.
The brand will market the brand through audio ads and outdoor signage at convenience store gas station pumps and through in-store signage to “meet consumers where they are and drive awareness and consideration for Capri Sun Bottles at the place of purchase,” Hannant said. Additionally, the brand will be sharing the news across its social media channels.
