Bush’s Beans offers merch for fans

  • ‘Tis the season for some beans, apparently. To honor the 30th anniversary of its famous “Roll That Beautiful Bean Footage” television commercial, and just in time for the holidays, Bush’s Beans is offering new “Seasons Beanings:” merchandise through its online store. 
  • The swag, which includes sweaters, wrapping paper, advent calendars, and slippers, is intended to capture the imaginations of those who have a passion for all things beans. The items also include some 90s-themed pieces – like hats, t-shirts and sunglasses – to honor the commercial. 
  • The brand will also feature a few limited–edition items created around its latest product, a collaboration between Bush’s Beans and Mike’s Hot Honey, bringing the latter’s sweet heat taste to the baked bean product. 

Bush’s has been offering merchandise for “quite some time” both online and through the visitor center at its headquarters in Chestnut Hill, Tennessee, said Kate Rafferty, consumer experience manager, at Bush’s Beans. The products have been a way to connect with the brand’s fans, particularly on social media.

“Our merch is a way to shine a spotlight on beans, keeping them top of mind in a fun way, and continue to engage younger consumers, particularly on social media,” said Rafferty. “Given our bean swag’s popularity has been increasing, we’ve expanded our merch line accordingly. Items are especially popular amongst Gen Z consumers on social media, helping bring joy to peoples’ lives, much like our beautiful beans themselves. The swag is an instant conversation starter.”

The b uses a variety of social media to highlight its swag, particularly social media, according to Rafferty. Some of the brand’s best sellers have included a “Roll that  Beautiful Bean Footage” watch, a can cooler, and a talking “Roll that Beautiful Bean Footage” button.
