- Kraft Mac & Cheese has unveiled a new Apple Pie-flavored version on its classic dish ahead of Thanksgiving.
- The brand tapped American Pie star Jason Biggs to promote the new limited time product.
- The humorous spot makes reference to Biggs’ relationship with apple pies, while highlighting a bowl of the new mac & cheese.
Kraft has been leaning into flavored versions of its classic dish in response to evolving consumer behaviors. Last year, they created an everything bagel-flavored version.The sweet and savory combinations are holding strong as a flavor trend, per the CPG giant.
“This holiday season, we wanted to create a memorable experience for mac & cheese fans that felt as unexpected as this flavor pairing,” said Cheryl Barbee, communications director, Kraft Mac & Cheese at The Kraft Heinz Company, in a statement. “The new Apple Pie flavor rounds out our flavor innovations for 2025 with its nostalgic blend of classic Thanksgiving dishes and bold flavor, marking the beginning of more shockingly delicious innovations to come from the brand.”The flavored mac & cheese category outpaced the classic versions by sevenfold, according to Circana, with more than 50 new flavored products hitting the shelves since 2019. Additionally, almost half of Americans customize their mac and cheese by adding extra seasonings and ingredients, according to In-Sight’s Top Gen Z Food and Beverage Preferences report.
