James Brown joined Perry Ellis International, Inc. (PEI) in 2004, first as Retail Marketing Director for the Perry Ellis®, Original Penguin® and Cubavera® retail stores. Lending his keen eye for attention-getting trends and promotions to the fashion firm’s ever-growing lineup of brick-and-mortar shops, he then went on to distinguish himself as a digital powerhouse with Social Media initiatives that proved to be the most influential, traffic-driving kick-starters for the company’s direct-to-consumer and e-commerce businesses. In 2011 his “Perry Ellis Heritage Badge” Foursquare promotion was nominated for a Shorty Award for Best Use of Foursquare in a Campaign.
Amber Cacali joined Saks Fifth Avenue OFF5TH in 2003. She began her retailing career with Express and The Gap. In 1995, she joined American Eagle Outfitters. Previously she worked at Nicholson NY Interactive, overseeing web development for IBM, Buick, and Thompson Publishing. She also worked at Structure (of Limited Inc.) and was the Department Chair, Digital Media Communications and Ecommerce, at Gibbs College from 2001-2003. Amber received her BA in Marketing and Advertising from Kent State University and her master’s degree in Communications and Information Systems from Robert Morris University.
Laston Charriez leads all marketing activities in the Americas for Western Union and also has P&L responsibility for the U.S. He joined Western Union in November 2011. Prior to that, Laston was VP Insights and Innovation at Sara Lee North America, overseeing consumer insights, analytics, and platform innovation and managing a team responsible for driving external focus, supporting the business units with the voice of the consumer and deep analytics and developing the next innovation platforms across all Sara Lee brands. His early career was at Procter & Gamble where he worked for more than 20 years. Albert Chou has over 10 years of Enterprise Software expertise, serving as a consultant to Fortune 500 businesses and implementing products such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, and SAS. Prior to Expion, he worked with clients such as ExxonMobil, BAE Systems, Covidien, Colgate-Palmolive and the Federal Reserve Bank. At Expion, Albert started as Senior Account Manager learning the social/marketing processes of some of the top brands and agencies. His greatest strength is the ability to rapidly become a functional expert in software while linking it to actual business requirements. Addie Conner is the Chief Innovation Officer for SocialCode, a subsidiary of The Graham Holdings Company. At SocialCode, Addie works to understand the social media needs of leading brands, then addresses those needs through new technology and analytics. Prior to SocialCode, she was the VP of Advertising for Avenue100, a Boston-based performance marketing company acquired by The Washington Post Company (now Graham Holdings) in 2007. Linda is the Vice President of Integrated Marketing for Coca-Cola Canada. She provides thought leadership in the areas of Connection Planning, Strategic Alliances, Insights, Marketing Process and Agency Relations for the company brands. She is also a member of Coca-Cola’s global Integrated Marketing community, which built an innovative strategic approach to Integrated Marketing. In 2012 Linda lead the pilot of this process for the global roll out. During a hiatus from Coca-Cola she worked at the International Humanitarian organization CARE. At Colgate-Palmolive, Kim Curtis is the brand manager responsible for Irish Spring, positioning this iconic brand for growth among the millennial male target. She has managed a variety of brands at Colgate in areas of innovation, brand building and brand positioning and strategy, including managing the media for Colgate toothpaste, developing new products for Speed Stick and positioning Suavitel fabric softener for growth in the US. Prior to Colgate she was at the internet incubator CMGI and earlier was an investment banking analyst. Lupe De Los Santos has more than 20 years of experience at agencies like The Vidal Partnership, Team Enterprises, and DVC Worldwide on brands such as Tecate, Target, The Home Depot, Heineken, Trident, Johnnie Walker, Miller Brewing, among others. Currently, he manages Hispanic Entertainment Marketing at The Clorox Company for brands such as Kingsford Charcoal, Brita Water Filters, Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing, and Glad Trash & Food Storage. Renee works to drive the go-to-market execution and evangelism for IBM’s Social Business strategic growth initiative including communications, social media, event management, digital /web marketing and analytics, and demand programs. Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) dashboard and management system to track pipeline, leads, and overall progress (e.g., Share of Voice, etc.).
