As a catalyst for change, Mark is responsible for accelerating the transformation of Sears Holdings as the leader in integrated retail. Mark has worked with such organizations as IBM, Manpower, the Economist, and the U.S. Department of Education to develop social strategies that improve engagement, innovation, and loyalty. Mark was previously the CEO of Truman Company, the COO of TomorrowLab at McKinsey & Company, and a researcher at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab. Mark holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University. His thesis predicted the rise of social networking eight years before the founding of Facebook.
Mark Burrell is the co-founder of Tongal, a creative social platform for brands and meritocracy for talent. The company was founded on the understanding that creative ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, and that although talent is scarce, the pool was and is much larger than the established content creation models recognize. At Tongal, Mark is responsible for business development, sales and strategy leading the world’s largest advertisers, platforms, startups, non profits and agencies into the exciting new possibilities that are created by leveraging Tongal’s distributed creative workforce model to produce content for new media.
Cindy Chen is marketing director for OREO at Mondelēz International, the snacks food division of the former Kraft Foods Inc. In this role, Cindy is at the helm of marketing and advertising programs for the CPG’s most iconic brand. Cindy has had a longstanding career in brand management within the CPG industry, having previously worked on the Jell-O brand, as well as for both General Mills and Reckitt Benckiser, where each brand she touched throughout her tenure experienced double digit growth. Cindy is originally from Shanghai, China, and started her career in the fashion industry. She has leveraged her background in fashion by setting trends and staying close to changing consumer shopping patterns and behavior.
Katrina Craigwell (@kcraigwell) leads content for the Digital Marketing team at General Electric (GE). She is responsible for driving content creation and distribution across GE.com, ecomagination.com, Txchnologist.com and GE’s corporate properties internationally, as well as GE’s social media presences on platforms including Instagram and Tumblr. Prior to her role at GE, she was Associate Director at social media agency Attention, where she worked with clients including CNN, HLN, WE tv, A&E, The Guardian, and Morgans Hotel Group. Katrina began her career in public relations at the Independent Film Channel, where she worked on some of the network’s first social media campaigns. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in International Relations.
Parshant Dhand is an Associate Brand Manager at Unilever responsible for leading Axe deodorants brand in NA. Parshant recently joined Unilever from P&G, where he was responsible for digital marketing efforts for the Pringles brand. While at P&G Parshant was recognized with the Rising Star award. Parshant designed Pringles’ comprehensive digital strategy and ran a highly successful social media campaign, “Tournament of Flavors.” As a result of the campaign, Awareness Inc. recognized Pringles as the best social media brand. Parshant received his MBA from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
Jennifer Dombkowski is the Integrated Marketing Manager for The Hartz Mountain Corporation, in Secaucus, NJ. Hartz has dedicated more than 85 years to providing products that keep pets happy, healthy and thriving. In her role, Jen runs all digital programs across all Hartz lines of business; developing strategic digital marketing plans and ensuring online programs are driving results against brand goals, while connecting with target consumers. Prior to taking on her integrated marketing role, Jen worked for three years as a Brand Manager on training products at Hartz where she discovered her passion for the digital space.
Ron Faris is responsible for managing Virgin Mobile’s brand strategic evolution, as well as all aspects of creative and consumer-facing engagement, including advertising, merchandising, branded entertainment, viral initiatives, sponsorships, and cause marketing. He architected and launched Virgin Mobile’s “Sparah” campaign. Prior to this role, Ron was director of lifestyle marketing for both Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile (under the Sprint pre-paid umbrella). In this role, he managed both brands’ largest marketing programs, including key sponsorships with Lady Gaga, Travis Pastrana, Britney Spears, UFC, and the New York Knicks. He also managed the Virgin Mobile Festival franchise and created and launched Virgin Mobile FreeFest, now the largest free music festival in the country.
Walter Frye (@nyc_insider) is the Director of Entertainment Partnerships on the Global Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing Team at American Express. In this role, he leads the strategic development and execution of American Express’ U.S. marketing programs with large scale entertainment partners, including the Tribeca Film Festival, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and American Express Unstaged, an award winning live-streaming concert series that pairs popular music with iconic filmmakers for unique live-plus-digital experiences. He earned his BA at Yale University and graduated from Harvard Business School with the Class of 2007.
As Digital and Social Team Leader, VP, LG Ad America/LG Electronics, Louis Giagrande manages a team of over 30 digital marketing and social media professionals and is responsible for strategy, creative, production, delivery, measurement, account and external partners. LG Ad is the in-house marketing agency that reports to LG Electronics. Louis’ career includes over 15 year’s experience in the marketing, media, and consumer electronics industries. Prior to LG, he spent six years at Samsung Electronics America as Senior Manager, Online Marketing and Social Media.

Alexa Harnett has over 16 years of luxury brand marketing experience including event marketing and social media. At Mercedes-Benz USA, Alexa is responsible for managing social media event marketing support for brand events. In her role, she defines the social media strategy to enhance on-site event activations and ultimately extend the reach and conversation beyond the event. Additionally, she oversees the production of event video content which is integrated into event displays and distributed through various owned and paid social channels.
Jamal currently drives consumer engagement for the Mountain Dew brand. Current projects include Mountain Dew’s indie record label Green Label Sound, its branded action sports property DEW tour and the DEWeezy project an integrated partnership with Lil Wayne. Jamal’s keen-eye and cultural expertise has made extraordinary contributions to the brands he has touched in the Pepsi portfolio. Prior to his work on DEW, he rejuvenated the consumer communication on Lipton Brisk resulting in a Super Bowl spot and toward becoming Pepsico’s 18th billion dollar brand. Jamal received his BS from Cornell and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.
Debora Koyama is AVP Marketing at L’Oreal responsible for the Garnier Haircare business. She has 15+ years in marketing with global consumer companies including Kraft and Diageo in both P&L management and Brand Equity/Innovation leadership roles. She grew up in Brazil where she spent the earlier part of her career and has worked since with US, Latin America, Europe and Global teams. She received her MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University.
Jamie Lasser is a Senior Brand Manager at Unilever. She is responsible for leading brands including I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!, Brummel & Brown, and Promise. Previously, Jamie led the highly successful U.S. & Canadian launch of Magnum ice cream. She also worked on Breyers, Hellmann’s, and Skippy. Before Unilever, Jamie was a leader in the arts world, managing development efforts at dance companies in Chicago and New York and providing marketing services to many art institutions nationally. Jamie has an MBA from the Kellogg School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Elliot currently serves as Vice President, Strategic Marketing at Columbia Records where he works on a variety of initiatives including building out music platforms for television & online; collaborating with brands on music related initiatives; evaluating early stage consumer and technology investments; and creating white papers quantifying the value of music. Previous to this role, he was a Brand Manager at Colgate-Palmolive on Max Fresh toothpaste and Speed Stick deodorant. Elliot graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Art History and received an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Mike Ma is the Head of Retail Advertising and Prospect Marketing for Vanguard’s direct-to-investor business. Under his leadership, the VanguardingTM campaign has become of the industry’s leading marketing initiatives by combining traditional and digital media and advertising efforts to drive household acquisition. The Vanguarding campaign has become a case study in advertising measurement effectiveness and was named by Advertising Age as an A-List Marketer for 2012. Previously, Mike worked at kasina, the asset management industry’s leading sales and marketing consulting firm. He led kasina’s growth to over 50 clients worldwide, collectively managing $8T in assets under management. Mike is an honors graduate of Harvard College and was named a Top 20 Rising Star of Financial Marketing in 2012 by the Gramercy Institute.
Jessica Messier is currently the Director of Strategic Marketing at Columbia Records. She works with brands and agencies to develop exciting music partnerships for Columbia Records artists across various platforms. Jessica’s experience spans 10 years in the music industry; prior to her current role she worked in radio as an on-air personality and at MTV in the production department.
As president of Kontera, Hal is responsible for marketing, sales, client services, business development, publisher network and US operations. Prior to Kontera, Hal served as EVP and general manager of Operative. Earlier, Hal served as VP, sales and account management for Doubleclick, where he was responsible for revenue and customer growth in publisher, agency and rich media segments. Hal was chief operating officer of Lowermybills.com where he was responsible for product, technology, sales and media and was instrumental in attaining significant growth and market leadership leading to the acquisition of the company by Experian. Hal held various leadership positions over 10 years at Experian, which he helped evolve into a standalone global marketing information services company.
Brian Nolan is currently the Senior Director at the Columbia Records Creative Agency, overseeing advertising and sports licensing. Brian joined Sony Urban Music in 2005 as Associate Director of Mixshow Promotion and launched the Sports Marketing department in 2011. He was named one of Billboard Magazine’s 30 Under 30 in 2010.
Josh Rosen currently is the brand manager of the $200MM Specialty Brands portfolio at Campbell Soup Company, managing a group of 5 businesses ranging from SpaghettiO’s to Swanson Canned Chicken. Josh previously served as the marketing manager for CampebellsKitchen.com, the company’s largest web property. Josh has also held several previous marketing roles at Campbells supporting the relaunch of SpaghettiO’s as a healthy entrée and leading the licensing strategy for the kids soup business.
A fervent foodie, born with the gift of gab, Emily Schildt has found a home with Chobani as their Director of Consumer Engagement. Since joining the family in 2010, Emily has established a highly engaged online community for the Chobani brand, securing its #1 position in America’s hearts. Emily received her B.A. in Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and it was there she discovered her passion for social media. A Maryland native, Emily currently resides in New York City. In her free time, she enjoys reading blogs, trying her hand at photography, and perusing antique shops.
Russ is the founder and principal of The Agency Sports Management (TASM) which merged with The Legacy Group to become The Legacy Agency (TLA) in 2011. He co-leads the talent marketing and broadcasting divisions for TLA working with elite personalities including Ndamukong Suh, Steve Young, RA Dickey, CC Sabathia, Osi Umenyiora, Merril Hoge, Warren Moon, Mitch Williams and Darren Woodson. In addition, Russ works in the corporate marketing division on behalf of numerous Fortune 500 companies to leverage the power of sports. Prior to launching The Agency Sports Management, Spielman worked in the talent marketing divisions of SFX Entertainment (SFX) and Integrated Sports International (ISI). Russ graduated from the University of Massachusetts sports management department.
Marc Sternberg is CEO of Rising Tide Media, a leading producer of conferences for the advertising and emerging technology industries. Marc was president and COO of AlwaysOn, from 2007-2011, where he produced over 20 successful conferences in the digital media, clean technology and cloud computing sectors. Marc was the vice president of advertising sales for The Hollywood Reporter, from 1989-2007. Marc has served on the boards of numerous charitable and non-profit organizations, including Make-A-Wish Foundation of Los Angeles and the Anti-Defamation League/LA.
Natalie is responsible for all social media efforts for Western Union. She can be found creating content, launching the upcoming Western Union blog, or educating teams around the globe how to effectively leverage social media. Prior to working at Western Union, Natalie did media strategy for a variety of Clorox brands. She recently relocated to NYC from the Western Union headquarters in Englewood, CO and is excited to become involved in the NYC marketing community. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from the University of the Pacific and an International MBA from the University of South Carolina.
Dan Vinh is VP of global marketing for Renaissance Hotels, Marriott’s signature lifestyle brand. His leadership includes defining and executing the global marketing strategy across all channels consisting of brand positioning and advertising, digital and social media, public relations and global experiential strategy for more than 150 hotels in 35 countries. Prior to Marriott, Dan was at AOL, Unilever and Andersen Consulting. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
Gilad de Vries is Vice President, Brands and Agencies at Outbrain. Gilad brings over 19 years of experience in the digital media and technology worlds. Before joining Outbrain Gilad was VP of Digital Media and Principal at Carmel Ventures, one of Israel’s top tier venture capital firms, where he was highly engaged in Carmel’s investments in digital media, internet and mobile startups. Before Carmel, Gilad was a Senior Director of Marketing and Product Management at Comverse Technology, a leading provider of value added services for Telco Providers. Gilad holds a B.A. in economics and business management from Bar-Ilan University and a Global MBA cum laude from the IDC Herzelia.
Prior to launching Unruly Media Inc. in the US, Art Zeidman spent 4.5 years as a business development leader for Google’s Americas Sales Organization. In his role, Art was responsible for establishing partnerships with some of the nation’s most prominent advertising agencies, evangelizing Google platforms, products and technological advances that are changing the way that marketers engage with consumers. Art has long been an expert at crafting integrated media solutions for many of the world’s largest advertisers on behalf of Viacom, Clear Channel Communications, Univision Communications, and Google. Art is a member of the board of advisors for the International Association of Internet Professionals. He is also an accomplished jazz musician and teacher.
