As Director of Content Marketing for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Kim Atkinson leads the Americas digital content marketing team, creating, supporting and optimizing content and campaign efforts for InterContinental Hotels Group’s 11 brands in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to joining IHG, Kim was SVP, Content, for Forbes Travel Guide, directing editorial content, social media, email marketing, custom content and public relations for the global luxury travel brand under the direction of the executive teams behind WebMD and Forbes Media. Before working in digital content, Kim was a magazine editor, with staff positions at Meredith Corporation, Boston Magazine and Niche Media. She has written for titles such as The New York Times, Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Travel + Leisure and more. She holds an MSJ from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media & Integrated Marketing Communications and a BA in Journalism from Miami University.
Nick Ayres leads the global social marketing team for Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies with 687,000 rooms and over 4,600 hotels in nearly 100 countries and territories around the world. his team of 10+ has tactical responsibilities that include global social listening and reputation management, social community management, social campaign management and the social Center of Excellence. Prior to joining IHG, Nick spent nearly five years with The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer where he helped develop and drive their overall strategic approach to social media down through the business. Douwe Bergsma is Chief Marketing Officer, Consumer Business, for Georgia-Pacific LLC, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of tissue and paper products, including brands AngelSoft, Brawny, Quilted Northern, Sparkle and Vanity Fair. Prior to joining Georgia-Pacific in 2011 Douwe spent 18 years in marketing at Proctor & Gamble, most recently heading Brand Marketing in North America. Damian Borichevsky is VP, Client Services, at OneSpot. Prior to joining OneSpot, Damian spent the previous eight years as a services executive in the marketing technology industry with Sailthru and PulsePoint. During this time, Damian worked directly with world-class clients including Dell, Sony, NBC Universal, Zynga, Kabam, RetailMeNot, Acumen Brands, Turner, The Huffington Post, Sports Illustrated, and Salem Communications to help them build and execute cross-channel, digital marketing campaigns. Before entering the marketing technology field, Damian spent several years working in a management role in Professional Services with Dell. As Group Director, Digital Communications & Social Media, for The Coca-Cola Companys, Doug Busk leads the high-performing social & digital teams. A strong understanding of social ecosystems and their link to great storytelling informs Doug’s strategic role within the organization, where his responsibilities include setting the vision and evolution of the Coca-Cola Journey and Coca-Cola Unbottled storytelling platforms. Doug is charged with aggressively expanding those platforms to new markets and languages while simultaneously growing and enhancing the broader presence of corporate social media channels. Doug also spearheads the development and execution for Coca Cola public affairs and communications internationally. Tom Daly is Group Director, Global Connections, The Coca-Cola Company. In that capacity, he is responsible for The Coca-Cola Company’s global strategy for mobile marketing, and provides subject matter expertise on best practices and digital agency management to the company’s agency operations team. Tom’s approach is informed by a variety of different industry sectors and brands, as well as client- and agency-side experience. Operating at scale from entrepreneurial to enterprise, Tom’s expertise across both traditional and new media, Tom’s combined experience makes him somewhat unique in his ability to accelerate and amplify productive use of emerging technologies. Prior to joining Coca Cola in 2005, Tom was Chairman of the Mobile Marketing Association. He is the Vice President of Brand and Corporate Communications for Arby’s Restaurant Group where he is working to instill a strong company culture among Arby’s team members and reignite brand passion among guests through engaging, compelling content. Additionally, he spent more than eight years leading the International PR and Corporate Social Responsibility efforts for Yum! Brands and Pizza Hut, Inc. Fuller’s career launched on Capitol Hill as Press Secretary to U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry of Texas where he was responsible for tailoring the Congressman’s message to an emerging digital-savvy constituency. Kip Havel is the Vice President of Integrated Marketing at Aflac, a Fortune 120 company and the nation’s largest provider of supplemental insurance. He has more than 16 years of experience in communications and marketing and has been recognized as one of “4 Under 40” Emerging Leaders by the American Marketing Association, a “Rising Star” by PR Week and an “Ace Communicator” by Ragan and PR Daily. Stephanie Leavitt joined Carnival Cruise Line in 2007 as a social media strategist and was promoted to her current position, Director, Social Media & Branded Content, in 2012. In this capacity, she oversees the company’s social media and branded content programs which include crafting a vision for Carnival’s digital brand storytelling through content creation, specifically on social platforms and earned channels; rapidly developing branded content that creates positive brand imagery and creating conversations with consumers about the Carnival brand. Rob Lynch is Brand President and Chief Marketing Officer, Arby’s Restaurant Group, responsible for all research and development, product innovation, marketing and media. His focus is building collaborative relationships with franchisees. Rob joined Arby’s in 2013. Prior to that he was VP of Brand Marketing at Taco Bell, where he led development in the innovation pipeline and brand marketing. Melissa McGhie Proctor joined the Atlanta Hawks as Vice President of Brand Strategy for the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena in June of 2014. In her current role, she is responsible for brand development and building marketing & business strategies that move the organization forward. Additionally, Proctor plays an instrumental role within the organization spearheading internal corporate employee initiatives and executive communication. Proctor began her career with the Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., serving in senior brand development and strategy leadership positions for Turner Entertainment Networks (including TNT, TBS, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), truTV and Peachtree TV), Cartoon Network and Turner Media Group. Additionally, Proctor helped to create the first Corporate Social Responsibility Division in Turner’s UK office. Among her accomplishments, Proctor was responsible for managing the naming and identity for the rebranding of Court TV as truTV, and leading corporate culture initiatives to foster employee engagement, collaboration and innovation. Proctor has also been a part of the NBA since high school, being the first ball girl (team attendant) for the Miami Heat organization and in later years returning to work for the Heat in basketball operations and the Atlanta Hawks as a ball girl. Proctor holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in design studies/branding from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design at The London Institute.
Navin Sharma is a VP of Brand Insights and Analytics for Arby’s restaurant Group. He leads consumer insights, marketing analytics, revenue management, and mobile application strategy for the company. Prior to his role at Arby’s, Navin worked for The Boston Consulting Group with industry experience spanning across consumer, technology, and industrial goods.
Marc Sternberg is co-founder of Brand Innovators, a leading producer of conferences for the advertising and emerging technology industries. From 2007-2011 he was president and COO of AlwaysOn, annually producing more than 20 successful conferences in the digital media, clean technology and cloud computing sectors. From 1989-2007 Marc was the vice president of advertising sales for The Hollywood Reporter. Matt Schweers joined Porsche Cars North America in April of 2014 to oversee Digital and Relationship marketing for the Porsche brand in the U.S. In his current role Matt manages all areas of digital marketing from web site development, SEO, paid search, app development, e-mail marketing and display as well as the direct mail side of the Porsche business. Matt brings fifteen years of brand and direct response marketing experience to his role at Porsche having held previous positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and the Atlanta Hawks and NBA working in several digital, traditional and grassroots marketing roles. Matt grew up in Atlanta and earned his B.B.A. in Marketing from Kennesaw State University.
Vicky Wilkens manages marketing strategy and promotion for The Weather Company portfolio including The Weather Channel’s mobile app, website and cable network. She led the re-branding effort for The Weather Channel resulting in the tagline ‘It’s Amazing Out There’ which received several Promax awards in 2014 and 2015 and Broadcasting AMY Award in 2015. Prior to working at The Weather Company, Vicky served as Running Brand Manager at Mizuno USA, where she oversaw marketing strategy and integrated, creative development that resulted in 5 Effie Awards in 2013, including North America’s #1 Brand. Vicky worked as a brand manager at Active.com in San Diego, CA and as a sport marketer for NASCAR, NCAA College Football and NBA at Turner Broadcasting. Vicky graduated from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) where she was a scholarship NCAA soccer player. She lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two small kids.
